Seems as though the pesky Gamecocks are the current owner. Clemson -> LSU -> Miss St -> Arky -> Auburb -> SCar

A&M should be able to take it back in a few weeks. :suds:

Belt been touring the SEC this year. Should stick in Tuscaloosa until A&M can take it back next season :suds:

I’ve never understood the concept of the belt. Someone explain it to me in terms that a retard can understand
basically, it all started way back with the first college football game in 1869, with rutgers beating new jersey, 6-4. the winner got the championship belt. and then whomever beat that team, took the belt. and that web page tracks every single team that has beaten the team with the belt from beginning until now. . .

Correct. And if you beat the team that is the current holder, then you get the belt. And you keep it until someone beats you.

Forgot to update this, but Ole Miss has the belt now.

Almost two full calendar years that thing has stayed in the SEC. :dhd:

Well yeah, we already know the SEC doesn't leave to play anyone. You want a neutral site? You better pick the local YMCA in Alabama. I suppose there is the bowl game chance.

Next year, Ole Miss non-con is Troy, Central Arkansas, Georgia Tech, and Tulsa....

SEC plays OOC just fine, plus bowls, plus always at least one SEC team in the playoffs. :)

Beighlore has a chance to get the belt into the Big12 tomorrow.

Just bumping, Baylor has the belt currently after taking it from Ole Miss in the sugar bowl.

I thought this was about @TigerBait1971 favorite former coach Ed Orgeron
