Colorado handed Deion Sanders a massive contract, but the athletic department doesn't actually have the money yet to pay it.

Colorado AD Rick George told the press Sunday that the program doesn’t “have the money yet,” but that the Buffaloes should be in solid position to get it. He added he’s “not worried about” getting the cash to make sure Sanders gets his money.

That might be the craziest statement I've ever heard from an AD after just hiring a coach. He just admitted they are broke and are going to have to fundraise just to pay coaches' salaries. This is not a good start.

I’m sure the taxpayers are thrilled to hear this.
