tOfficial "Deion Sanders to Colorado" Thread

Meh. Let him have his swagger.
I can’t stand how immature and arrogant Deion is in interviews. Yes they upset TCU and it was a win on paper. But did you see a powerful TCU on that field? I didn’t. I saw a washed up shell of last year’s team. I don’t want to take anything away from Colorado, but personally I think it’s wayyy too early for all of this “OH Y’ALL DIDN’T BELIEVE AND NOW I AM YOUR GOD” shit. Being humble goes a long way.

Smells like controversy.

He could kneel during the anthem to make this shit pop off, but he don't bow to nobody.

He's having a little Michael Jordan syndrome. Jordan had to have a nemesis, even if he had to make one up
This is why I could see why his players at a place as down in the dumps as Colorado would respond well to that message but this also has the potential to get real old real fast (especially if they start losing).

"Us against everybody"

Emo can only take you so far.

We live in the age of identity. It rules all ATM. He's tapping into that in a brilliant way. In this era you're defined by who you think you are and who you think your enemies are, one being necessary for the other.

Dabo has dabbed in it too, but in a different way. There's probably others, but I don't give a shit enough to Google it.

You don't like it, beat them and shut them up.

Dude, he's been that way for ~40 years. His underrated team beat a ranked team. Let's see what happens next.

When Deion leaves for the NFL next season, watch Colorado try to put their shattered program back together. A program that will somehow be left in worse shape than after 1-8. Maybe Colorado and Jackson State can play each other?
Lmao. Which nfl team would have Prime as their HC???
(And before you try to backpeddle, we know he’s not going to be a coordinator or gm.)

For the most part, dude backs up his talk. I remember his combine out of college: he lined up for his 40 time, ran it, and then kept on running to the locker room. He didn't need to do anything other than prove his speed to the pro scouts. He's had a hall of fame career and is one of the rare few people to play at the pro level in two major sports leagues.

I don’t like them blacks doing their thing, except for the blacks on my team. But they better keep to themselves and do what their told by our white coach.

Occasionally when I drink I yell racial epithets at the tv while watching football.

I’m not a racist though.

Did he back it up at Jackson State? All of the righteous "this is about the black kids" stuff? All of the pretending to be a hero who only cared about HBCU athletics? Promising he'd "flip the field" for HBCUs? Bring "a shining moment for equality and fairness" to college football? Leaving for one of the whitest universities in America the split second it was to his advantage? And what about his checkered (at best) high school coaching career? Did he back all the talk up there?
