I flew into Denver on Friday for a meeting and the other guys at that meeting had an extra ticket to the game on Saturday. So I tagged along and saw the worst Nebraska performance of my whole life. Colorado slugged Nebraska right between their eyes and their knees buckled. I admit I'm a Nebraska fan and it was all I could do to sit there and not throw up when Nebraska's offense was beyond pathetic and its defense simply wore down and started to get pushed around like it was playing on roller skates. The only thing about this Nebraska team and what they used to be is the uniforms are the same. Everything else is light years different. After what I saw on Saturday, I question if Nebraska will ever be an elite team again. I mean EVER. As for Colorado, they looked a lot better that I expected (give Prime Time some deserved credit for that) and their fans are still as rowdy as you would expect. The Big Red is turning into the Big Pink and it's hard to watch. Seriously, those guys were an embarrassment to the memory of what NU football used to be.

This is the sort of hapless opponent that the Deoin mania is built upon. Wait til they visit Autzen and then USC rolls into Boulder. We'll re-evaluate this team then.
