A couple of things.

* Regardless of time of year or time of game, bring a jacket
* Take public transport or an Uber to the park. If you’re staying in the City, it’s a pretty easy walk down the Embarcadero from Market Street.
* Enjoy the game, it’s a beautiful park

I'm going to both stadiums while I'm there. Can't wait to see how nice Oracle is and then compare it to the dump across the Bay.

It’s night and day. The only saving grace in the Candlestick days was it was way easier to get to the Coliseum since there’s a BART station right there and you had to take a bus to the ‘Stick. Now that they’ve built Oracle, there’s no reason whatsoever to go there other than just to say you did.

That's basically the only reason I'm doing it, cross another stadium off the bucket list (especially since this might be it for them there).

Confirmed.

Last time I was there I stayed in NoBe and just walked down the Embarcadero. I was too cheap to even spring for a light rail.

I usually take BART over to the Embarcadero station and then just walk down the Embarcadero. There are a couple of places you can stop for a beer if you want to pregame as well.
