This is long overdue. I always thought that the non-negotiable 5% or 6% commission on real estate sales was a form of price fixing.
Now, looks like the National Association of Realtors fucked around and is about to find out.

It’s not non-negotiable. Sure, they won’t work for free, but I’ve seen it fluctuate from 1-3% per side.

Could be dependent on the selling price. E.g., don't see a 6% commission on a $50 Mil mansion/estate.

Also, California could have some consumer protections in place other states don't.

since when is that non negotible? i always tell the agent you get 3% or i walk.
