It's the worst. Their poor eyes just begging for you to fix it. It's so sad.

The first night, my boy puked fucking everywhere in his bed. Took him til Saturday might to sleep back in his bed instead of out on the couch. His sweet little brain correlated it, and the PTSD was skrong. Crazy how the brain correlates random shit with when you throw up.

My daughter now will prolly never eat pork chops again, cuz she had that for dinner last night. Even tho it has nothing to do with it.

I still get a little triggered over chocolate milk from a godawful puking experience from way back when I was a kid.

I feel so bad for my daughter. She is so amazing in her fortitude with stuff like that, but still, I know she's so embarrassed.

Haha. I still can eat anything with poppy seeds, as I barfed a poppyseed bun once as a kid, and just never got over it.

My fever finally broke today. No puking, barfing, coughing or sore throat. Just super high fever, and incredible body aches, and shivering. I would still always take the illness over my kids though. It sucks when the littles are violently ill

I always underestimated high fevers until one I got 10 years ago (I remember when it was because it was right before I bought this house). Mine was high enough I was hallucinating, and for the first time I can recall, was actually a little scared (not because of the hallucinations, but because of how high that meant my fever must have been). I was so weak, I literally crawled to the bathroom, because I figured that was preferable to falling down. I was also puking uncontrollably. I have never been more sick in my adult life.

I'm glad your fever is broken.

@beardown07 - I hope your daughter feels better soon (and it doesn't make it's way to anyone else in the house).

My hands and feet went numb, like pins and needles asleep, for about 2 hours. It kind of freaked me out.

Yeah, I'd be lyin' if I said that wouldn't kind of freak me out, too ...

Maybe even more than kind of.

I think I would have been wondering if I wasn't about to end up paralyzed.

Creamed spinach made with canned mushroom soup… You don’t even have to puke that to be traumatized by it.

@huskers1217 did you go to a flea market yesterday?

CNN —
One juvenile has been killed and four others were injured in a shooting at a flea market in a Houston suburb Sunday evening, and police are still working to identify who is responsible.

Police in Pearland – about 15 miles south of Houston – responded to Cole’s Flea Market at around 5:30 p.m. in response to reports of a shooting, Pearland Police Department spokesperson Chad Rogers said.

Three adults and two juveniles were found injured and taken to nearby hospitals, police said. One of the juvenile victims later died from their injuries, police said Sunday night.

No other information on the victims’ conditions or ages has been provided.

The shooting appears to have been a disturbance between two people and was not a targeted attack on the market, Rogers said.

“We’re working to identify who is responsible for this,” Rogers said, calling the incident an “extremely tragic act.”
