I don't think either of my kids have ever been on roller skates --maybe when they were tiny, but their feet grow so fast it was probably a one-and-done, and we weren't about to buy a new pair of skates every year.

They've had razor scooters and bikes that they don't ride any more.

I could do it, but I had a hard time turning. Basically made the girl push me around the curves

My Kids ice skate a few times every winter. But I don't think they've ever been roller skating. Closest rink is in the next town over, but it's pretty ghetto.

Limited places to skate here, too. Safely, I mean; people skate all over the place but they take a big risk.

When I first moved here, I had a nice pair of blades and I skated a lot on the bike lanes. But I took a couple of scary spills right near some moving vehicles, and decided to quit.

Damn they are on point with these pistol permits now. I used to have to go up there and pay then go back in a week and pick it up all for only one year. Now I filled the paper work out and payed online, and they had it ready in 24 hours.... And it's for 5 years.
 
Having such a quiet Friday. Both kids had a rare occurrence of in-class learning on the same day, and Bosszilla took the day off.

He's only emailed 3 times, which I believe is a record
 
@huskers1217 , Padres-Cardinals is now up in the bookie. I highly recommend taking the over, the Pads have no starting pitcher available and it'll be a bullpen game

I had a hard time transitioning. Busted my rump quite a few times on blades. I had a friend who warned me to get the wrist guards, best investment ever.

Eventually I got more comfortable on them but I still couldn't do all the same tricks I did with the standard skates.

I just never had any interest in trying them. It may be because the one time I went ice skating, I got tired of falling on my ass, and since I was so good on regular skates, I felt no need to go through that just to skate with wheels in a different configuration.

At the risk of sounding like a shit (since, of course, that never happens, teehee), I have a tough time imagining you could do many tricks if you couldn't even skate backwards well.
