Hey- were you the one that had to enforce on this dude to pay up when he put that wager out for that batman guy being an asshole or something?

I don’t remember that.

The shuttle challenger?
Yea. Netflix has a new limited series on it.
Watched it live. It was similar to the JFK moment for the really old fucks here. You knew exactly where you were when it happened. Same with 9/11. Time stamped into the brain.

Why were so many watching live? Was it because of that school teacher chick? I know a lot of people said they watched it in school...was that common to watch them in school? I don't remember us ever watching any launches.

I was in 8th grade when 9/11 happened and we watched that coverage in class.

The space shuttle was still a relatively new and cool thing at that time and shuttle launches were a big deal. The teacher being a woman and a civilian made it an even bigger deal.

And her being a teacher had a lot of student eyeballs on the launch too.

I gotcha....I thought so.

That had to be fucking horrifying for those people's families who were observing the launch in person. They had video of their reaction and that teacher ladies parents looked like their brains couldn't even compute what had just happened.

Yes because first teacher in space. Imagine the reaction at her actual school with the whole building in an assembly.

Yea...good point. She had to have been a fucking superhero at her school.

Hadn't had a cherry coke in yurs. It's not too bad doe. Probably be yurs before i do it again.

Some things are like that. I eat at McDonalds about once every 2-3 years, just to remind myself why I don't eat at McDonalds.

Watching this new challenger limited series on Netflix. I bet that shit was wild to watch happen back then for you older fucks who were watching.

I saw that happen live on tv. I was in college and I was fascinated with the space shuttles, so I stayed home that morning to watch. It took a few for me to understand what I had just seen.

Same here pretty much. McDonald's isn't terrible to me but there is almost always a better option somewhere close by. I go probably every 1 - 2 years and I eat out everyday for lunch.

I used to eat there once a year when they had the McRib. But then I learned how to take the bones out of baby backs and been making my own ever since.
