I slept through my only Cali earthquare (it woke me up) and I'm quite disappointed.

:( Can barely get a mobile home for that kind of money around here. I need to seriously consider buying soon because every time I look at a paystub, the taxes make me cringe. I can afford a mortgage, but can't afford the 20% down payment because I really, really, really don't want to touch my 401k for it.

You can get a 3600sqft house with a pool and a pond here for almost that lulz

The market will sort itself out. He starts fucking around with new NS threads and he's gonna find him and his big foot in tumbleweed city.
:heh:
I know. It’s always fun when there’s a schism though, and there are 2-3 new NS threads, each of whose OP refuses to submit, and @Skerpokes is even more lost than usual. ;)

I didn't know one could even get a trailer for 350K around here, lol.

I'm so grateful I made the decision to buy my first house when I did.
Part of me really, really didn't want the responsibility, but I was in a position to do it, so I did.
I can't imagine trying to get into the market for the first time out here, these days.

I'm not the first person to need a second job during a recession, and I won't be the last! Just trying to be thankful that I should be able to make things work until work is fully back online.

Hell, lots of people need a second job in a decent economy, and as someone who, although it's been years, has had more than one job at a time, it sure does make one grateful down the line to only need one!

What's wrong with it?

Nothing probably (i can't tell from the listing anyways). It was built in 97' so it's not new or anything, but that's not too old. $106sqft is actually a little high around here. It's about a 10 minute drive from the main city that is about 65,000 people.....so it's not out in the boonies or anything.

at least with hurricanes, we know they are coming...

how is your ground????
Yeah- EVERY FUCKING "SEASON". When was our last major one? 30 years ago?

Dang. That's fucking depressing. I should've went with my first instinct and gave you a middle finger rating. I'd be ballin' in bammer country!

Yeah, I remember my grad school days, taking a full courseload, writing my thesis, and working two jobs...it's really a bit bitchy of me to not want a second job right now, but damn I thought all that suffering meant I wouldn't have to go back to that!

Of course, none of us was expecting COVID. I'm so worried it's going to produce a gazillion symptoms in the people who had it and recovered and we'll be hit with some crazy resurgence in like ten years. I mean, shingles comes from chickenpox, right? And they're all viruses.

Ugh. I need to go do some chores and start sewing before I get too anxious.

You'd probably be making about 20k - 30k around here doing office admin stuff though. Ain't nar fortune 50 companies up in dis bech lel

this one isn't bad. a little small
TWSS..... :dhd:

this is the kinda shit that's hitting the market here.... this one is soooo dated... gross

Either it'll go pending later this week (listed on Friday), or it will go non-active since no qualifying offers.

If it legit sells, it'll be between $475k and $500k, or it has some water damage and selling with concessions (ceiling tile above closet in picture 27 🕵️‍♂️ )

We're being told that now that it's proven that we don't REALLY need to go into the office every day, permanent WFH could be a reality. Time zones would be my biggest limitation. Imagine being able to take my Cali salary to AL?! Fuck yeah!
