I hate them, but my bf HATES them. He loves animals but hates everything "rodentlike". I put chili powder in my bird feeder so they wouldn't eat the seed.

@ukfanfrombirth(cali cat) gave me the bright idea of sprinkling red chili flakes in my herb pots so I guess I better start doing it with the new plants.

I'll use cayenne, too. Do they make a scotch bonnet powder? :evil:

I believe they do. We bought a jalapeno powder when we were in Charleston and it's SO good. If we'd known how good those spices were, we would have gone back with $100 in cash and gotten multiples of everything, but we didn't try any of it until we were home in Florida, so we're just hoping the spice lady at the historic district farmer's market is still kicking ass and taking names and we can buy more of her blends in a year or two when we can go back.

Or... just seek her out on facebook or the internet and order online if she's on there. Most vendors at farmers markets are online.

That's obscene. You are wasting $6,000 a year paying the people telling you what you can or can't do with your property.

Wait until they start levying special assessments: "Dear homeowner, we need each of you to deposit $4000 to support our green initiative to preserve native banana slug rescue. The deposit is due in 1 week".

Then there's ruinous property taxes based on obscenely inflated assessments on top of income taxes.

Two words for you: Reno, Nevada.
