OH ... din't really know that. We just tied up to a pier somewhere in bumfucky and rode buses into Palma. Gawwwwd ... I luv that place and, oh mang ...the Daquiri Palace on da beach! :drool2:

No shit! I'm guessing you stopped at Gibraltar, too? Did you also go to Menorca, the next and last island of the Balearics? I spent almost three months there as well. It's absolute paradise for about six months out of the year. All the beaches are nude. I've never seen anything like it. Normal Europeans come from all over and they instinctively start peeling clothes off the second their toes hit the sand. From 8 months to 88, everyone is naked and seemingly comfortable with the whole thing.

No to Gibraltar & Menorca. Let's just say Palma is a 'required' stop for Navy Sailors coming & going into/outta Med.

Yeah, I've seen my share of nude beaches & poolsides. Ya see enuff of 'em, the 'novelty' just wears off pretty quickly.

Jeeeezus ... I'd luv to get back to Palma, someday.

Depending on what you like, I think you might actually prefer Menorca to Mallorca!

Cost isn't the issue.
Either I'm gonna end up with central air at some point, or just power through the few days I wish I had it each year.
My house is too big for a window unit to do much good, overall. One could help with certain rooms, but in terms of the two rooms where it would be nice, the windows in my living room are too large for a window unit, and for the few days I wish I had it each year, I'm not gonna have one of my bedrooms windows overtaken by a window unit.
This isn't an area where it tends to stay hot at night. The vast majority of nights, even during a crazy heat wave, cool down enough I can sleep, and as long as I can sleep, I can deal.
