I freaked out a little bit last night when I first smelled the smoke. I heard a loud noise, went outside, smelled smoke, and, well, there's been an arsonist in the area who has set 3 fires over the last few months, one of which was just a few doors down from my house and flipped me the fuck out, so I started looking around to see if I could see flames. I didn't, so came inside and checked to see what was going on. That's when I learned about all the fires all over.

It's getting worse here, like, I'm gonna have to close the windows. The good news is at least it's a bit cooler today. I was wondering about you because I was looking at the Air Quality map, and it looked pretty bad down by San Jose. Here's the link, if you want to know: BAAQMD

It runs about 30-45 minutes behind, but it's a decent gauge in terms of whether you're just smelling smoke or the air is really fucked.

Yeah, it's got that apocalyptic look to the air here. It's been the same orangey haze since sunrise.

Yeah, the color of the sun this morning is what drove me to check the air quality site.
