I genuinely can't recall the last time I felt this way, but I just had an experience where I thought, "ok, this is an example of my tax dollars being well spent."

I just had a fireman show up at my door and walk around my property with me telling me the things I need to do to create "defensible space," in other words, ways to make my house more safe from any fires that may decide to visit. He was really nice and highly informative. I'm even going to get an email summary of what we discussed ... the plan, as it were, for my property.

It is in something i'm qualified for but know little to nothing about....it would also be about a 75% pay increase though. I'm down for looking like a tard for a few months for that many monies.

First off...you being in any position of authority over ANYONE, let alone children is terrifying and I weep for our future.

Secondly, words have meanings. I know you Libs are in heavy debate about that these days, but they do. No, you shouldn't allow GIRLS in the BOY scouts.
