just like a fucking delivery charge is a tip for the driver......

I haven't ordered a pizza for delivery in probably 10 years.
Depends on. Most places around here waive the delivery fee if the order is big enough. I haven't ordered pizza when it hasn't exceeded the minimum.

But a $100 meal + tax + surcharge + tip is going to be $140 to $150? Fuck that.

sooo since i am a den leader for cub/boy scouts....

we are having an emergency meeting tonight to vote whether we should allow girls to join.

hoopla...you have my proxy. how should i vote.

Vote No. I think the reasons have kinda already been stated by others

I get why they did it. One, it helps restaurants make a little more money when they are limited in their seating capacity, and two, it discourages people from eating inside, and forces them to get takeaway instead.

But no way am I paying that. I'll eat at home.
How long before they charge for carry out, tho?

But the real concern is, will the surcharge go away once COVID restrictions are lifted?

Probably not. When has a surcharge or tax EVER gone away? People just get used to it....

Have you encountered the phenomenon where the restaurant tries to guilt you into paying the extra charges? They cite the pandemic, their rent or lie that they need to do it to to support their employees.

There's a reason fast food joints and supermarkets are cleaning up right now- they bend over backwards to maintain the same prices and keep availability.

I've heard that. Great prices on RT flights out of SJC so why not?
well....

While I'm not the best at social distancing.... flights are still not some place I'm willing to take a chance.... without good reason 😉

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying.

I've eaten out quite a bit in the past 5 months, and haven't encountered any extra charges anywhere. Both dine in and carry out.

Was in Nashville a year and a half ago with some friends from college. Had a lot of fun
Most of the bars I went to, were elbow to elbow while live music played. Just bar after bar. Can only imagine how much the musicians are struggling right now.

Yeah, I still see fuel surcharges because of the gas "shortage" we had SEVERAL years ago. Mawfks.

So, my wife has tried a few of these dinner delivery deals, like Hellofresh en sech. I'm convinced they they are just preparing us for government rations er some shit?? Fucking things are chock-full of pale produce and sickly meat cuts!?

Fucking garbage.

well....

This is for April of next year. If there isn't SOME semblance of normalcy by then, I'm taking myself out back to get shot.

I think the quality has gone down significantly since those services first started. They used to be decent, but I haven't ordered them in a few years now, but I hear not so great things.

Hey, where else are they going to get the money to fix the roads?!?!

Very Funny Reaction GIF

And every restaurant has completely gone to shit. It's like they have a built-in excuse to suck donkey balls.

1st question is: Why?

2nd question is: How fucking lazy is she, that she can't get her bitch ass back in the kitchen and make me some goddamned pie?
