The sound on this thing is legit, it's got those classic Strat tones. But the action is kinda high, need to do some saddle adjustments

Careful with that high action and adjusting the saddle. My cousin rented a mechanical bull for a birthday party a couple weekends ago and a good number of girls got bruised 'jays because of it.

I'm going to force myself to play at least 30 minutes a day to start. Probably some time between dinner and sleep...maybe a little more on the weekend, and more after I get some new callouses. I've never had any illusions that I would be great at it, but I can shoot for mediocrity

I too have no grand illusions of being good but I love playing and kick myself when I start back up for ever stopping. Love just sitting on the couch with a j and strumming.

Yep. I've had seasons where I had access to other people's instruments and I thought, "I could get decent at this if I stick with it..." and then I've gone years without touching one. Never had the time/money/motivation all at once.
 
Started a powerpoint pres. at about 8pm last night. I suck at PP, so at around 11, I finally finish it up (it's only 6 slides) and exit, get ready to send, open it back one last time to get a fresh look. Motherfucker didn't save my last hour of changes! So I redo two more slides and get the email queued up to send to the NEW boss and go to bed, like I'm Ralphie.
