Once you go fake, you'll never go back to real.
Well, yeah because the good fake trees are like $300! You better use it more than once!

Buy one this January. They'll be under fiddy bones. Pays for itself in 3 years, tops.
That's actually not a bad idea...

Then I can keep it up YEAR 'ROUND!! WHAT, WHAT?!!

We've got one more year of the big tree. Next year, we'll probably have the little tree up in the living room, because of Guy Unpoquito being in that semi-'tarded one-year-old stage where he can possibly eat anything.

I'm a little nervous about the pup... little shit got on the coffee table and knocked over this wood carving I got in Paris and started gnawing on it. I put it up and this morning, she was going for it again. Grr!

I've been showing her new ornaments, let her sniff them and then say, "NO!" when she tries to bite them. Asshead probably won't remember next week, but I'll put the sacrificial lambs on the bottom limbs :(

You may want to consider not putting any ornaments or, if you use it, tinsel on the bottom limbs. I know, it may not be as aesthetically pleasing that way, but "not as aesthetically pleasing" is better than, had to take the pups to the vet 'cause she ate an ornament, or can't poop 'cause there's a ball of tinsel in her stomach. Actually, now that I think about it, I'd probably just saw off the bottom limbs.

The good news for you is, she's not a cat, who are known to climb the fuckin' trees. It's funny as hell, until their bit of extra weight causes the tree to fall over, or that ornament you put somewhere you thought was safe is batted to the floor and breaks.

This is the first time that I seriously considered going fake. I want to decorate so bad!!

Buy a smaller live tree in a planter and you'll have that fresh pine scent for years.

You'll also be environmentally responsible.

Which part?

Artificial trees are cheap AF in January.

I may be off on how much a live tree costs these days, because I have not ever bought one.

I think when you said mazel tov that pretty much gave it away.

Or was it that other white dude?

I bought a 9' tree (tall and skinny) years ago post-holidays, and still paid $700 for it. The 8 footer I bought before that was probably about the same.... but that one is a fat fucker, so it sits in storage unless the girls want to do it. I have a 12 foot ceiling and would love to get a taller tree, but this one takes hours to set up, as it is.... Every branch needs to be shaped before being put on. I also do 1 light strand per level...

I think my current tree retailed for about $300, and I got it for like $75.

$700 for a forkin' tree?
