It wasn't bad but but if you got a little piece of fat on your bite of meat then the pickle taste was too much.

I make mine basically the same way as that recipe, except instead of pickles, I put 5-6 pepperoncini's on top of the roast.

Wait- I thought those were spice rubs with beer. Not beer with spices in it. I might have to change my mind... I don't like drinking IPAs.

I would give that a try still. Is the vinegar/pickled taste more subtle?

Far more subtle. I don't pour any of the juice into it. I add 1/4 cup of butter. With the butter and juices from the meat, the recipe doesn't need any more liquid. Then when I shred the meat, I also shred the pepperoncinis.
 
What happened here?? She try snorting some spice rub?
I think there was some ghey viral cinnamon challenge a while back, wherein you had to eat a spoonful of it, and it's impossible en sech.
