Also- @TigerBait1971 why do you wait so long to get your tree? Is that normal for everyone? I'm chomping at the bit, the day after Thanksgiving and if the farm I love opened any earlier, I'd get my tree that day.

Growing up we would put the tree up xmas eve. Its the hallmarkist that drive xmas earlier and earlier. Didnt get ours up this year until Friday but I did have to do it twice since the first stand wasnt working only after everything was completed.

You did all the decorating the night before?! And then when did you take it down? I don’t even put the lights on for a couple days, then the ornaments a couple days after that.

I had to put mine up twice, too. But only because I got two trees :heh:

Actually, I guess I did it three times since mr. wobblypants had to get readjusted after I moved him around.

We would put some decorations (wreath etc)but the tree was usually part of the big xmas eve celebration (and source of inevitable family fights :dhd: ). God forbid you had young children around because then the story was Santa did all the work. A bit of a pain in the ass admittedly but the pay off on their faces xmas morning was disneyesque. My wife put the kabash on that family tradition of mine real quick.

Oh and tree would come down sometime between epiphany and candlemas @moxie .

Seems like a YUGE waste of time to put a tree up on Christmas Eve, only to take it down again a few days later. Get your money's worth, at least

Few days? Ephinany is like 2 weeks minimum (thus the 12 days of xmas)and candlemas is February 1.
