You should have gotten a cat. All you would need is ordinary boxes... They just LOVE boxes!! I had a couple "beds" for my little feline furball, but she rarely slept in them. So many different places to snooze!! :heh:

Miss my little furball! My little one "passed" this past February. I think it's about time for me to get another "kitty cat". :nod:

It is on the "upper end" of the budget category though. Samsung and Moto have some good 5G phones in the 300 to 400 range. Most reviews I've seen so far say the Pixel's camera is great (which all Pixels are) so if you're into pic quality, its worth the extra price (basically 50 bucks). I think it might also be the only budget phone that's water proof, which you mentioned, so it has that going for it. If people wait for holiday sales, it'll be an even better deal

Blech. I've had my Galaxy S8 since July 2017; cracks on the screen (not bad but noticeable), some parts of the screen chipped off around the edges and can only charge wirelessly/use bluetooth headphones. Every time I think I'm going to get I new phone I see that price and say fuck it mine still functions.

I agree with all this. I think the extra $50 to $100 is definitely worth it over the cheaper Samsung (cheaper A series) and the Motorola's. Pixels have a really smooth operating system. The pure Android experience is a much different experience than the "modified" versions other brands use. Pixel cameras are first class and debatably the best going right now as far as point and shoot single/dual lenses go. Apple and the others have came a longggggg way in closing that gap though and some even prefer the iPhone looks now. I'm on my 5th Google phone and haven't had a problem with any of them and don't intend on going anywhere anytime soon. I will most assuredly be getting the pixel 6 ultra on black Friday this year.

I believe Google is really trying to knock the pixel series out of the park this year and try to take some market value away from Apple and Samsung. They are building their own SoC this year instead of using Qualcomm which could be a hugeeeee deal. Apple producing their own chips is why there phones have such good performance. If you throw all of Googles advanced machine learning, computed photography, and the Google assistant stuff on there and you could get a really advanced piece of equipment.
