This has been an incredible vacation. 2000k miles driven already, and 46 hours behind the wheel, but almost all of it was amazing.

Amateur. We drove nearly 7K miles.

And spent over $900 on gas alone.

Pretty crazy but the last time I got to do this kind of trip was 2005. Don't know when I'll get the chance again.

Yeah... That's my plan. I got MonaLisa as a kitten from a lady I knew whose cat wasn't spayed because she couldn't afford it. I told her I would pay for her cat to be spayed - so NO more litters! I took MonaLisa, the last kitten from the litter.

BUT, now I wanted to get an older cat and give them a chance to have a good home because, like you said, the older cats have a tougher time to be adopted. While I don't want two cats, if I see a "bonded" pair of older cats, I might take them both to keep them together.

That was really cool to offer that to that lady.

I've usually always adopted cats that were at least "young adults". Not necessarily because they're chances of getting adopted are lower, but because I didn't want to have to train them to use the litterbox. lol

Jinks was 3 weeks old when I got her. First kitten I'd adopted in a long time. She's almost a year old now. I'm thinking about getting one around the same age that she is now. Just not sure how she'll react to another cat since she's pretty much become the boss of me. lol
