It's all about the littles. It goes against every instinct I have to be there, save for the instinct to spoil my kids.I never understood the Disneyland love. I used to live 20 minutes away and only went when people came from out of town.
Does Disney even have cool roller coasters
I get that and my kids loved it for a time. I’m talking more about adults who have season passes and go all of the time. I have no interest. After a short time, my kids had no interest either. It's all about the littles. It goes against every instinct I have to be there, save for the instinct to spoil my kids.
I will say, it does afford a touch of "magic", in that it's unbelievably clean, remarkably safe and just has "something" to it, that separates it from other "carnival-like" places.
Ya, it is weird af to see all the random adults there sans kids.I get that and my kids loved it for a time. I’m talking more about adults who have season passes and go all of the time. I have no interest. After a short time, my kids had no interest either.
Usually adults you‘d rather not have near your kids…Ya, it is weird af to see all the random adults there sans kids.
It may have started when I was a kid…the whole build up and excitement of going to “the happiest place on earth”. I’d only gone twice but when I was old enough to start take my own trips, it just didn’t lose its magic for me. To this day, a wave of excitement washes over me the moment I'm through the gates. It’s pretty gross, but it’s just one of my thingsI never understood the Disneyland love. I used to live 20 minutes away and only went when people came from out of town.
I got a Flu shot, does that count?Get your shots and booster also.
Going to Disney World next summer. We will hit Disney World, well before we will support California at this rate.
My wife is the same way. I think to her, it represents a successful childhood that she did not get.It may have started when I was a kid…the whole build up and excitement of going to “the happiest place on earth”. My dream wish would be to have a designated adult’s day once a year. No fucking stupid, smelly, crying, whining, snotty, shitty strollered bastard kids.Ya, it is weird af to see all the random adults there sans kids.
The best trip we had was when it rained like a motherfucker during the day. It was the only time we've stayed at the Didneyland hotel that's on site. (awesome af, btw), but by the afternoon, all the locals had cleared out, and the place was eerily a ghost town. Felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was a surreal feeling tbhMy dream wish would be to have a designated adult’s day once a year. No fucking stupid, smelly, crying, whining, snotty, shitty strollered bastard kids.![]()
Oooh! Yeah! That sounds like it fits me perfectly as well!My wife is the same way. I think to her, it represents a successful childhood that she did not get.
We'd have gone at least twice by now, if the world wouldn't have gone and caught the ghey.
I remember the Aerosmith one at DWorld being OK. Short ride but fast and fun at least.
Eww! Knott’s! I’ve only been there twice but it felt so ghetto! Kinda like Great America in Santa Clara. The Peanuts Gang just doesn’t hold a candle to Mickey & Friends for me.
I love Six Flags though. Big fan of roller coasters! I wonder if I could get a gaggle of gals to go with me. And I wonder if they are mask nazis the way DL is.
@beardown07 don't even THINK about going now. Because I didn't want to get banned for life, I had to walk out of a store while my hats were being embroidered and had someone else go in and get them for me. There were also several instances of me literally yelling, “it IS OVER MY NOSE!!” as I was getting on a ride. I even pulled it up
my forehead once because I was getting so annoyed.
I can honestly say I understand why people are snapping and losing their fucking minds on airplanes & shit. Shut the fuck up about the fucking masks already. We’re standing tits to tails in line for an hour but the virus stays in its place and only strikes once there’s a roof over your head? Eat shit. All of it.
I hope restrictions get lifted before I go back in February…or sooner, since I ended up getting a goddamn annual pass again.
Fuck you, Walt and fuck my arrested development!
You stayed at the Grand Californian? Yeah, that one is sick. I’ve only stayed at the original but the little perks are still pretty good. It rained on Monday (pretty much off & on from 2-7) and by the end of the night it was basically running to the loading areas to hop on the next ride. The best trip we had was when it rained like a motherfucker during the day. Its too fucking bad selfish people couldn't get off their fucking ass and instead listened the orange terrorist and didn't treat it like it just killed 700k. but its the pro birth party. get them fucking kids born so we can enjoy watching them die.
