Went in today, only to be met by a snarky VP who said "evidently you didn't get the memo about working remotely this week, due to the new carpet being installed"

I refused to reply that I do not read emails when on vacation, but I did pack up and head back home.

Screw that place.

Never heard of him. I'll check it out.
I hadn’t either. He’s not terrible. I keep meaning to find more of his stuff but I couldn’t even find the clip I was talking about and didn’t want to make one so I gave up.

Why did you quit?
First- you have to tell me which ones you’re talking about.
The ones that give you all the ingredients and you make the meal or the ones that make the meals for you in pre-packaged containers that you just heat up?

I used to do the former but the portions were too big & not great quality and I ended up wasting a lot. I get a little squirrelly about certain leftovers sometimes. I liked that they provided big recipe cards (8.5x11 pages that fit in a binder) so I could buy my own stuff and duplicate, but I don’t think I’ve actually ever done it.

We got the Hellofresh shit as a gift a few years back. Homely ass looking veggies en sech.

But we have made the Korean bibimbap a few times since. It's delicious.

That's the key. It's important for me to see and select the best quality ingredients I can and not rely on some minimum wage "pack as many containers as you can as fast as you can with whatever vegetables/ingredients are available" type worker.

Yeah, I think I tried HelloFresh, Blue Apron and Home Chef when they would have their “special introductory offer!” then I’d forget to cancel so I’d pay for a few more until I realized it’s probably just not for me.

Know the best part of going back to work after a week off?

Shit nothing.

I'll see your "shit nothing" and raise it to ...

Absofuckinlutely nothing.

I mean, I'm trying to be all grateful and stuff ... "hey, I got a solid week off and lots of people didn't,"
But that's not lasting very long.

String bet. Can’t announce a call and then raise
