iuno yet. getting it checked today.

Garage had a drippy drip after a shower yesterday. We fucked around with it and noticed it came from the master tub.

Hope it isn't. We had one that was in the living room close to the kitchen. Took almost 2 weeks because it caused a small amount of mold. The wife ended up happy because we got new carpet. They bypassed the pipes in the ground and put them in the wall that separates the kitchen and living room, so they had to replace the cabinets and counter and paint the kitchen and living room. I ended up paying the painter extra to paint the adjoining hallway too. So basically, everything got re-painted except the bedroom.

Thank God for insurance. lol

Spaced by what you meant by slab leak until you explained your situation...like foundation...yea it's definitely not that, since it's coming from the third level. Hoping they can just work the pipes from the garage and be outta here in a day.

That is good. The only good thing with ours was the timing. We had been in the house about 10 years and had started talking about getting new carpet and painting. lol

not gonna lie - I need to repaint my house (but we just redid all the floors for 14k). I have a 20 year old hot water heater and wonder if it goes..if i can just get the house repainted.

my brother in law had a upstairs toilet overflow about 3 years ago and destroyed his whole house. INsurance gutted the whole house to the studs and they redid their whole house

We've only been here for 2 years, but we're in year 10 since it's been built so everything's getting ready for the planned obsolescence phase of technology/appliances nowadays. Dishwasher broke before we even closed (old owners replaced it), Washing Machine broke and flooded the garage a month in, only a matter of time before the fridge, dryer and sump pump shit the bricks. Not to mention, the previous owners didn't fucking take care of anything (they never got the HVAC unit serviced in 8 years and there was dog hair in the fucking ice machine when we moved in...how the fuck does that even happen?).

On the bright side, they put 30k worth of upgrades on the house right before selling it (a fence and deck), so those won't have almost a decade of people beating the shit out of them and not taking care of it.

out of curiosity. do you even mess with those Home warranty companies? If so, is it working out for you? i had one for a couple of years. called and they wouldn't fix shit and still charged me $75 service call. ended up dumping them 2 years ago.
