Those stupid bastards that stole my wallet a couple months ago were trying to open credit card accounts at Walmart, Capital One and PNC so now I had to put a fraud alert on w/the credit bureaus. Decided to look at other financially stuffs and realized Chase took an extra payment out on my car loan. So they said they've put a check in the mail. Chase auto financing took a payment from my Chase account and they can't just put it back in there? They have to send a goddamn check? Speaking of wasting paper - I must get a Discover card application at least once a week. Big, fat envelopes with heavy cardstock. Just tossed in the trash. And PG&E - I asked for paperless billing. That means I don't want any of your stupid ads on how much money you're not saving me.
hate thats the age we live in, i dealt with this crap a few? i forget its been a minute but i wana say at least 3 years ago fuckers succeeded in taking money out of the bank and the best part i had called my bank told them there was some shady shit going on before the thieves took money out they said "oh dont worry about it" and then a day later thieves took money. stupid banks! ive had all 3 bureaus on frozen so that it has to be unlocked before can even try to apply for credit ever since then. banks are dumb

They have an option to put the fraud alert on for a year, so I did that. I guess the way it works is that lenders will call me before submitting anything. :sigh: Guess that's not a terrible thing, except I never answer my phone if it's not a number I recognize nor do I have voicemail set up.

And now I remembered the other thing I wanted to talk to Chase about, but I got pissed and hung up - they still need to reverse a fraudulent charge. I'm pretty annoyed that I like their app/website because I would switch my accounts over to them, but this whole thing has pissed me off.

Sonic wants everyone to believe everyone working in food service is all happy go-jolly.

"I'm adding in that tangy BBQ!"

Fuck you.

That sucks...

More likely:

"Two brownie batter shakes."

"FUCK, will these asshole stop ordering these we're already backlogged and now almost out of brownies and I don't want to fucking make more."

You need to set up voicemail. You will find that almost all callers who don't want to do legitimate business will not leave a voicemail.

I check all my accounts every day, sometimes twice a day (OCD). A while ago, I used a credit card for lunch at a Chinese restaurant. Next morning I woke up at bout 2 am - I don't know why - and checked my account and saw a pending hotel charge in Las Vegas for $2600. I called card customer service in time to stop the transaction and the security agent told me that was a very rare event. Don't know if the thieves were caught and charged, but now I'm even more determined to check my accounts each and every day.

I also have automatic alerts set on each account to let me know about any transaction over $100.

I still get those fucking calls. "Hi, I'm Brad from (fill in the blank). Can you hear me ok?"

To which I answer in my best Mr. T voice: "No motherfucker I can't hear your ass! Get the fuck off my phone!"

Works like a charm.

Alternative idea, just don't ever answer the phone if it's not from a number you don't recognize/aren't expecting a call.

If it's important they'll either leave a message or text.

But I'm expecting a call from Publisher's Clearing House and i don't want to miss it.

I had my old bank get breached twice (different accounts). The bank was good about refunding me (especially since it was pretty obvious it wasn't me) and they even went so far to recommend just changing banks by that point since I didn't have any branches of theirs nearby anymore and I couldn't change account details over the phone (duh).

A friend's fiance had something similar happen and he said it's most likely a bunch of Romanian or Pakistani hackers using these as front to funnel money into crypto.

LOL TCL has lost me. i had originally bought one for the bedroom. it functioned great and is still alive and kicking so after about a year when the 70" vizio 4k bla bla bla went to shit after like 14 months i said well fuck vizio and decided to replace with a TCL had the replacement plan so i got my money back and just bought a TCL instead all was great for over a year so upgraded the bedroom tv to a larger better quality tcl it has random software glitches that piss me off but not enough to where i ever did anything about it in the return window en sech but still very annoying. then the tcl i bought to replace the vizio the backlight stopped working replacement dood said it was very common with TCL but there is still a chance (not a terrible one) that you luck out and get a "good one" 1 out of 3 were "good" meh
Sounds about the same as "I had a Toyota one time that leaked oil. Fuck Toyota, I'll never own another one."

alternative (fml- I fat fingered an “s” instead of an “a” at the beginning of that and autocorrect is trying to change it to “slayer native” what the actual fuck?)
Anywho- I wish scammers would just stop trying to scam. Get a real fucking job!

Speaking of scammers- what was that pervbot that was texting me last night’s angle? I woke up at around 2am and it was asking for a video call, something something, massage, dick so I texted back and said I was calling the cops because I’m thirteen
