Just watched Spiderman no way home.....was this a hit? And why? You let dr strange kill those villains and movie is over in 80 minutes. No instead we have to dig up grandpa Toby and Andrew and have sone homo buddy cop movie for the last hour.
Yes, it did well. You want me to explain why something was popular? Um, ok.... people like heroes that are virtuous and idealistic because the real world has very few of those. Movies are a fun escape from reality. Spiderman has been a hugely popular part of pop culture for decades. Bringing in the other 2 most recent Spidermans triggered positive nostalgic feelings and also brought factions of the same fanbase together. The multiverse has become an increasingly large part of comic book continuity and they have been introducing it more and more into the MCU. Sure, all those things are a little corny to varying degrees. But you were watching a comic book movie (and a Marvel one at that), to expect something different is.... misguided.
I take it you are not a comic book/movie fan.

Not all comic book movies are equal....they slip in more and more stinkers imo and the diehards continue to fanboy out at any crap they put out there. Where would you rank no way home ?

Sounds like a bunch of fuckery going on in here. All you Thor haters should be struck by lightning. Twice. In yer buttcrack.

The only comment worth responding to was regarding my beloved Bombay Sapphire Gin. The right answer is a 5:1 ratio of gin:dry vermouth with a tiny splash of olive brine + 2 olives, stirred, not shaken.

I. am. not. a. gin. drinker.

I agree, they aren't all great. Some even seem like bridges to other storylines (kind of my point with the multiverse comment). And some of the more obscure characters and storylines are going to mean more to the diehard comic fans. Most of these storylines are taken directly from the comics with varying degrees of adaptation.
I actually liked No Way Home, I'd call it average to slightly above in the MCU relative scope. Thought it was better than Far From Home. And I know that if Dr. Strange is a central character then all sorts of space-time continuum shit is going to be thrown in and muddle the "logic" of the movie. So maybe expectations were tempered.

Holy shet.... my kids haven't seen Weekend At Bernie's yet. That's getting added to the playlist.

I liked the cartoon Spiderman one I saw with beast years ago better than this one. One thing we can both agree on is ww84 was hot garbage.

This game sucks. And tomorrow is you know what day, isn’t it?

Friday Monday GIF by Clocking In

Just remember... You gotta "Clock Out" too!! :martini:

when i was hourly, there was one night during month end close the system was slow and stuck behind reports that took hours to run.. i clocked in at 8AM and we started close around 12 noon. and the reports ran all the way to 8 AM the next morning. I then had to work the next day to get reports to Senior mgmt. 32 hours of straight being on the clock. That was a nice paycheck from the OT

OT is the reason I hope they never ask me to go salaried. I generally don't charge them if i do less than an hour on the weekends, but I pretty much nail them from the first email I send to the last one on work days.

The feedback I heard on that was so bad I haven't even bothered watching it. My Son watched it and said it was "really not very good".
