The new assesments are based on the ridiculous valuations during the recent housing boom. When I left, I was paying $8000 a year. If I stayed, I'd be paying about $16000/yr. Here, I'm at $5000/yr.

Been in Salt Lake City since beginning of last week. Weather has been nothing but beautiful. Talked about taking a trip to Jackson on the weekend but looks like shitty weather is going to derail it.
