IMO, It will come down to how each team is stopping the run. If Nebraska has a hard time stopping the run against UM -- it will be a long game, because they will just continue pounding the ball.
And Nebraska can't try to be too cute on offense -- don't have Martinez winging the ball around the field -- use the RPO and use Martinez's legs as UM struggled with that against Rutgers.
The one thing UM has going for them -- it will be a completely different defense than Martinez has seen. They look completely different than year's past and play a bunch of different defensive fronts
Again... JMO, but Michigan wins and covers. No need to break down the 'if this' and 'if that'.
Nebraska got hyped (locally) through the off season. The critics drank the Kool Aid.
They promptly laid an egg in the opener with Illinois. The score didn't look bad, but at one point in that game they trailed (30-9).
They followed by beating Fordham and Buffalo and the critics went relatively silent. Success right?
They followed that by laying eggs against Oklahoma and Michigan St. i.e. Beating themselves.
The critics got loud again for the shit, mistake filled play, hence the drubbing of Northwestern.
The critics will be silent over the local airwaves again this week. To the team... Instead of building on that success, it's time to celebrate nobody yelling at us.
This team only plays decent (motivated) when they're being yelled at by media and fans. Jekyll and Hyde
They squander success like no other.
Michigan is a good bet simply on trend alone..
