Besides Little League, Pony League, etc. you don't see groups of kids just get together and play sandlot baseball anymore.

I just saw my best friend from childhood (still one of my best friends) and we were talking about this. We used to get our friends and neighbors together ALL THE TIME and play at local fields at least a few times a week during summer vacation. My son can get maybe 4-5 kids from the 'hood together to play. So it ends up just being batting practice and shagging balls.
