It doesn't seem trite to me, but that's probably because the ex used to do that, and it used to drive me nuts.

I don't think we've had a break in the rain for 24 hours. Wish I could teleport to Tahoe. I HATE driving in the snow!

Yeah, that's the big concern now. Especially after the fires rip through and leave nothing for the dirt to hold onto.

I don't like Tahoe in the winter.
Yes, the snow in the mountains is beautiful, but I hate the cold, so after trying to enjoy it up there in the winter quite a few times, I just said, "fuck it."
I'll go up in the summer and leave winters in Tahoe to those who actually do enjoy it.

I like being "at" the snow, but probably not so much "in" it anymore. I do love being at a cabin with the fam/friends, having drinks, an impromptu snowball fight, hanging out at the lodge, watching people fall, that sort of thing. Also like bundling up with all the stuff I really can't wear here... mittens, fluffy scarves, beanies, my furry Sorel boots.

Oh, goddang! I hate it! Scares the bejeezus outta me. Generally speaking, I'm kind of an all or nothing type, so it's SLAM THE BRAKES when I know that's not what I'm supposed to do, and then the tail end of the vehicle is all squiggle, squiggle, squiggle and I panic. I hate that feeling of sliding and not being able to do a single thing about it.
