In all of the years that my Dad was a cop, I don't remember him ever calling out sick.

I do remember him considering it a few times when there was a full moon though. lol

I don't think he fully bought into it as a scientific fact that it had a real influence, even though according to his PD's data, they were definitely busier on full moon nights. But he did believe that there was a sort of "self fulfilling prophecy" where people acted out more because there was so much talk about it.

Seems like winter finally arrived today. 6 inches of snow last nite, 30 degrees today, down to 14 tomorrow. Lows of -15 Mon. and Tues.


Stupid groundhog.



Tho, I will say, we need the snow. More of it. Much rather have a heavy snow year, than a heavy fire year.
