Oh, little stars! Shining on me! Boss just cancelled our meeting that was supposed to start in 10 minutes because he needs a break already. Good, because I was totally unprepared and was going to wing it.

Do it! That'll ruffle his feathers good!

How is that any different from what you do regularly?
Normally, I'd be clanging away at the keyboard an hour before the meeting, scrubbing the calendar and making a list of things I need to talk about. I didn't do any of that today.

I wonder if I'm being passive aggressive because I already saw what my raise is going to be  Not that I'm even mad about it, just that it's the lowest one I've ever got in the 6 years that I've been here.

Not a problem. Just cut back your spending.

Though, there is a unit in my complex for sale that is so super cute and a nice location, but F these goddamn HOA dues! I just can't stomach it!

I've been seriously considering getting a second place for a while.
I figured a condo would be the way to go, since I wouldn't be there all the time to take care of stuff, and HOA's would take care of certain things for me. Then I see the dues, and, well, that's why I don't yet have a second place. It doesn't matter where I look ... from Santa Fe to back closer to where I grew up, if it's a place I'd want to live, the HOA fees are high enough I'd just feel like I was paying rent on a place I already owned, and fuck that.

HOAs are tools of the devil. Its like you don't have full title to your property. My HOA dues were a horrific $95/month, but we got them reduced to $75/month.

Still, its robbery.
