it was ultimately a counter hog that we got rid of.

Speaking of which ...

Does anyone here have one of those pasta makers that makes the dough, then cuts it?
I love fresh pasta, but I have neither the time nor the interest to make it myself all the time.
I've been hearing about these pasta makers where you just throw in the ingredients, put on the attachment for whatever kind of noodle you want, and in a few minutes, you have fresh pasta.

Never had one of those. My kids wanted a pasta maker when they were younger, but we just taught them how to make their own without a machine. They seemed to enjoy that a lot more. Nowadays, as surly teens, they don't enjoy anything.

Faaaaaa-haaaan-cy!!! I've had a Mercato one that you vise grip to the table and I could also get the attachment to the kitchen aid, but i've never even heard of this high-falutin contraption!

Making pasta by hand is fun, but it's a bit of an undertaking.

Hahahahaha ... yeah, lots of things in the world can change pretty dramatically,
But one thing that I'm guessing will never change is the surliness of teenagers.

I just heard about them fairly recently, but I'm intrigued.

Yeah, it's a lot of work. Its amazing what a young kid thinks is "fun" vs what older kids or adults think of the same activity. I mean, last night we all made dinner and dessert for their mom and they enjoyed doing that because it was mother's day...but ask them to put their dirty bowl in the dishwasher on a regular day and you get the attitude

Also- did I tell youse guise that Trader Joe's Whole Grain Dijon Mustard is pretty damn good? Bet it'd be pretty delish on a corned beef sammich.

And why is it still nearly 90º outside?!!

It's also pretty good as a coating crust to roast leg of lamb. Exquisite.
