Sounds silly, but I was impressed with our win last night against NDSU. We were the listed underdog by 3 points, and played really well, coming back from being behind time and time again, and adjusting well to their schemes.

ASU, though....wtf was that? I didn't watch, but the box score is ugly AF .

So 3 weeks in my quick and dirty takes

Arizona beating San Diego state was nice. half a game with Miss st was solid. beating North Dakota state doesnt sound like much then you look back and see Arizona lost to FCS Northern Arizona last year and NDSU has beat Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Colorado State, Minn, Kansas and a few schools who have recently moved up from FCS like Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern and James Madison in the last decade.

My take on ASU from off season to now is a compete 180. i had them in the upper half of the south but now might be fighting colorado for last. overall. in the NCAA

Cal i had hope but not really sure what happened. so im not sure what to make of this team. their 2 wins dont tell me much

Colorado I really though they could get a few wins. oops.

Oregon wasnt ready for Georgia but is anyone? Georgia just pretty much did the same thing to South carolina. Oregon looks like they should still be pretty good.

Oregon state looking legit. Smith has done a good job.

Stanford I understand what Shaw did in the past i just feel like its time to move on. the next 4 weeks might be make or break for him.

UCLA what are you doing? like 3-0 great. but trailed Bowling Green late into the 2nd Quarter? beating South Alabama on a clock expired FG?

USC looks better than I thought they would but also only team they have played with a real pulse was Fresno State from the MW. next 4 weeks (Oregon State, WSU and Utah) will be telling. I had them a 2-3 year turnaround but the portal has them looking way ahead of that.

Utah pretty much as expected.

Washington looking legit with Penix. like scary legit

WSU looking fairly legit. big win over Wisc. 3 turnovers tho. luckily so did Wisc. NGL a little nervous this week

Not saying the PAC is on equal footing with the B1G or SEC, but this is the best the PAC has been in years. IMHO

in the end that might be what plays into the rest of the country still looking down on the Pac.
USC, UW, WSU, Oregon State, UCLA all 3-0, Oregon and Utah with tough road losses to SEC teams currently 3 top 15 teams 4 ranked. Oregon state knocks off USC and they could get in.
thats gonna be a lot of beating up on each other tho.

I don't know.

If Oregon is one of the top teams in the PAC, that performance vs. Georgia doesn't bode well for them.

USC's turnaround looks to be early and they look like they may be a legit threat to win the PAC. Even then, it's more about beating teams like that the way they should beat teams like that. They also don't look ready to be taking on Georgia just yet either. At least not on defense.

Not sure what to think about Utah right now. They are/were expected to win the PAC. But that "good loss" to Florida is starting to look like it may not have been as "good" as folks thought at the time. Can't really take much from the other 2 games due to the level of competition. But, like USC, they did beat them the way they should beat teams at that level.

UCLA's 3-0 start looks misleading. They had to come back from being down 17-7 vs Bowling Green (although they did outscore them 38-0 after falling behind). But having to beat South Alabama with a field goal on the last play of the game is not a good look.

Having said that, UW and Wazzou both have nice wins over ranked OOC teams which is something that has been in short supply for the conference for a few years now.

short supply for those teams especially. wasnt it like 10 years or more for UW

like I said Oregon wasnt ready for UGA but who is? lets see how the rest of their schedule goes. Im not so sure anyone else in the Pac nor the rest of the country would have put up more than 10 on them.

I think USC could score more than 10 on them. They look to be arguably a top 5 offense in the country.

However, our defense isn't likely to give up any fewer points than anyone else has so far. lol

maybe but none of the teams USC has played is known for their defense. Fresno gave up 20ppg last year, Stanford 32 and Rice 36.

TBH i only had Oregon for about 17 and they got close a couple times Oregon looks more comfortable and confident right now. if they played again id expect about that but UGA to score the same.
