Brewers, Giants, Dodgers, Astros, White Sox and Rays all pretty well have playoff spots locked up

The NL East, the second NL Wild Card, the NL West(though whichever team loses out on the division will in all likelihood still host the WCG), AL East, AL West and both AL Wild Cards are still in play.

The NL East is probably with worst division in baseball this year, but might have the most interesting chase. Braves, Phillies and Mets are all within 2 games of each other, and while all are still in the Wild Card hunt, it's more than likely division or bust for them.

The Reds are catching the Padres pretty quickly for the second NL Wild Card spot. The Cardinals have also quietly went on a hot streak and have played themselves back into the WC conversation.

The Yankees are gaining ground on the A's and Red Sox for a Wild Card spot, and I wouldn't count out the Mariners or Blue Jays either.

I'm gonna predict:

NL East- Braves
NL Central- Brewers(lock)
NL West- Giants
NLWC1- Dodgers
NLWC2- Reds

AL East- Rays
AL Central- White Sox
AL West- Astros
ALWC1- A's
ALWC2- Yankees

Hopefully it's a fun month and a half to close out the regular season.

I'll still take the Padres as the baby wildcard & will take the Red Sox as the other one.

Yankees sweep the double header and are tied for a Wild Card spot

Red Sox are boned.

Reds fall again to an awful Cubs team. Second wild card is coming down to who can be the least inept. As of now, Braves have a better record than the Reds and only like 1 game back of the Padres.

Padres down to the Rockies again right now too, and they have Jake Arrieta on the mound

The Rockies are such a weird team. Dominant at home. Absolutely terrible on the road

Padres drop 3 in a row against the Rockies. Lucky for them the Reds lost the last two games against the Cubs.

Of the teams not currently holding a playoff spot, these are still in contention:

A’s
Mariners
Blue Jays
Phillies
Cardinals
Padres

Gonna need a miracle:

Mets
Indians

Padres might have the toughest remaining schedule of any playoff hopeful

Phillies lose to Dbacks again and are now 0-4 this season against them. :dhd:

Just shoot the Cards and put them out of their misery like you would a horse with a broken leg already.

Blowing up left and right and still only 4.5 back in the wild card.
