wow, seriously? i never figured him to be the type of guy to take work like that. figured he'd ghost us like joe montana, go live in the tropics with his model wife and become a fashion weirdo like the olsen twins

Does anyone actually want to listen to Brady outside Pats/Bucs fans? The national media already overrates how much people like him outside those two places, and while he's got a ton of football intelligence that anyone would benefit from he's also just seemed so.....awkward/dorky?
 
Since Madden retired there hasn't been a single announcer that I tune in just to listen to them. There have been plenty I have tuned out to avoid listening to. Tom will just be more noise for me to ignore.

If the NFL really wants to make some money, they should make a Sunday Ticket version that just has crowd and stadium noise, no announcers. I'd actually pay for that.

He is the least interesting athlete there is, to listen to. He talks nonstop, and says nothing, on that stupid shit he does with Jim Gray on Monday night radio. Every interview he does is vanilla with no sweetener. Bland, and blah.

I don't know about that.

I watched a bunch of shitty MNF games just to listen to Don Meredith and Howard Cosell go at it. I miss Don Meredith on MNF. You never knew what was going to come out of his mouth.

But today...you are probably right. I usually mute the sound and watch the game without all the nut swinging.
