Also, wouldn't mind Harbaugh snatching up Herman for hopefully some open offensive assistant position.

This wasn't the plan, right? I mean you kind of have to assume that Texas had Meyer or someone more high profile in the bag and they bailed last minute in between the firing of Herman, right?

I mean there is nothing that says Sark would be a better HC than Herman, his track record actually disproves that. I don't get it, is this an inside joke?

If I'm a rusty cow fan I ain't too thrilled with this hire. I know a lot of 'em are in the "anyone but Tom" camp but........

What comes to my mind in something like this is Billie Gillispie. He wasn't under any pressure at UTEP as he was following a nut job. As the pressure of jobs increased from UTEP to A&M to Kentucky, his way of dealing with it seemed to be to dive further and further in. Then he couldn't recover from it at Tech and was worse. Some people can handle pressure, others just flat can't. They are better off at low pressure jobs. JMO.

I was going more off the question whether he could handle the other aspects. If he couldn’t handle being sober for three hours with donors. According to Texas fans, their coaches have to spend 22 hours a day with boosters.

Yep...that's what I said in my original post. We know he can handle the OC job but his track record ain't too good at handling the other aspects of the job. Hell, maybe those boosters want a likeable boozer and he can liven up one of their get togethers.
