And he did a great job rebuilding them from a shithole 0-12 school where they lost every legitimate state recruit to in good enough shape for Peterson to leave Boise. Say what people want about his failure at SC but Sark literally built UW from the ground up.

Sorry bros.. been a really busy '21 for me so far.. Yeah I was just as shocked as many of you were..not about the firing itself since I knew that was coming, but the hiring of Sark.
Wasn't really happy when I heard it was him but his limited presser was much better than TH, especially after TH brought Mack and had that pathetic looking hug.
I'm in, because anything is better than Herman. I'm really interested in seeing what staff he brings to Austin. Names are all over the place Muschamp, then no Muschamp, Corey Raymond, Tee Martin, Curt Flood, Banks, keeping Drayton? We'll see.

What does my residence have to do with UT being a terrible job right now?
Unreachable expectations with nowhere near the talent level, nor the time needed (thanks to meddling boosters) to reach those heights.
Sark going there makes sense because he's still on kinda of a professional rehabilitation tour and even if he fails, he has already proven that he is a highly valued OC. If he doesn't win a conference title & get into the CFP within 3 years, he will be run out the door.

Terrible job despite being in the best state.. terrible job because they have the 5th best roster per 247 composite.. terrible '21 recruiting class because it's ranked 17 with only one 5 star, in a transition year...terrible new facilities including the the SEZ project that will be completed this summer.
Why on earth would anyone want to go there?
Yet, in the last decade, UT has managed to lose less than 3 games in a season just once...this past year. The (t)expectations for the program are to win or challenge for the conference title & playoffs every year. They've come nowhere close to that level.
Further, they have had just 2 first round draft picks (and only 2 second rounders) taken by the NFL in the last decade.
So, despite all the advantages in the world, your program isn't winning and isn't pumping out NFL talent. Tell me again why the flood of 5-star recruits will suddenly want to go to UT rather than Bama, Clemson, Ohio St or even in your own back yard A&M & OU?
It's a terrible job right now because your expectations and reality are nearly polar opposites.
