There are those excuses. I forgot, road games account for a 3 touchdown differential. Keep the excuses coming. I'm on the edge of my seat to hear the Matt Rhule excuses in a year or two.

There is also a considerable altitude difference @ Colorado. Again, Michigan got them in Ann Arbor.

That being said Nebraska led Colorado 27 - 10 (i.e. 3 scores) deep into the 4th quarter. Nebraska was driving but fumbled at the Colorado 23 yd line with 4:59 remaining.

Colorado scored a TD with 3:16 remaining.
Colorado recovered their onside kick.
Colorado scored another TD with 2:37 remaining.

That game wasn't near as close as the scoreboard shows.
 
Regarding Baylor...

Nebraska played @ Baylor.
Michigan got Baylor in Ann Arbor

Michigan beat Baylor 38-3.
Michigan led Baylor just 21-3 at Halftime.
Michigan scored 7 pts in the 3rd Q and 10 pts in the 4th Q.
Michigan actually scored a TD with 2:57 remaining, but it was Nebraska "Running up the scores".

Nebraska beat Baylor 49-21.
Nebraska led Baylor 42-7 at Halftime and 49-7 with just 8 minutes to play in the 4th Q where Baylor scored 14 points against Nebraska's scrubs in garbage time.

Ahhh yes -- you let them score those touchdowns. Just so we have it straight. It was the altitude, it was the road game, it was a conference opponent, am I missing any excuses?

And yeah -- it definitely wasn't as close as the scoreboard showed, I mean, other than Nebraska having 20 1st downs and Colorado having 20 1st downs. Or Nebraska having 440 yards of offense and Colorado having 455 yards of offense (if you were wondering, that is 230 yards more given up than Michigan). Or Colorado having the ball driving late in the 4th quarter with a chance to win the game. But yeah -- outside of 1st downs, total offense and the scoreboard -- the game wasn't even close.

Must have been the scrubs that you were facing against Colorado too. To put it in perspective -- Nebraska gave up close to 100 more yards to just Colorado, than Michigan gave up to Colorado and Baylor combined.

But, but, but..........cue the long list of excuses.

Actually -- it was a split title so that can't be true and it was only split because Nebraska begged to the media and then their coach announced his retirement. So it was a well deserved going away present.

Now lets get back to what the excuse will be after Rhule does no better than lead Nebraska to 6,7,8,9 win seasons? Will Nebraska fans finally grasp the reality that has been staring them in the face for so long or will there be a new list of excuses and players to blame?
