Saw them back in college. Great show. They didn't play 46 & 2 though which was disappointing.
 
Danny Carey was arrested for assault a couple days ago. He apparently got into a tussle in the KC airport with an airport employee. Misdemeanor; out on bond.

I just came here to post this. Because of covid and NY gonna NY, I bought insurance for the tickets. I didn't think that Danny would go off. hahahaha

Enjoy the concert, bro.

I haven't seen them live and would like to, but they ain't a big enough deal to me to justify driving 3 hours into Shitcago and spending several hundred dollars to do so.
 
I saw them about a billion years ago at a Lallapaloosa. I wasn't a fan and didn't want to see them, but their set actually blew me away.

I like Undertow and Aenema, but haven't really connected with any of the other albums.

If you don't like my opinion, I invite you to sharpen a no. 2 pencil and shove it up yer dickhole.

For sure I will. I must be one of those that gives them too much credit. But that's music. Everyone has their own thing.

It's hard for me to name a favorite. This is only their fifth project and they have done so many things I like. I like A perfect circle too so it's as much Keenan as it is tool.

There's that other recent thread about "Heavy Metal Mount Rushmore" and everyone's got the likes of Black Sabbath and Judas Priest and Iron Maiden and Metallica... all the big name original metal bands you have to include because everyone is apparently supposed to have the same preferences. I like some stuff from all those bands, but I don't consider any of them to be in my personal top 4 favorite metal bands. My actual four favorites are more recent bands than all those originals: Slipknot, Korn, System of a Down, Avatar. Name drop Korn in such a conversation, though, and the conversation instantaneously morphs into:

They're good.

I don't care for the majority of their music and blew past most of their "message" decades ago.

They have a market. The NIN of metal.
