Totally Senseless friggin question (part deux)

Just remove the mold. The rest should be edible.

It's prolly good for yer immune system, somehow

There are mold spores everywhere. Just throw the moldy and eat the rest.

The answer is: if it's a tiny amount, just on the outer piece, then it's okay. If it's been a few days and you see a lot of greenish-gray mold, then it's pretty much everywhere.

Bread mold isn't going to kill you anyway, though it will affect flavor.

^^ This ^^

Mold is spores, so even if you cut off the discolored stuff, the spores are covering everything else.

If I have no other bread and am eating right now, I'll cut what visible mold that is there off and use the rest. However, I can still taste the mold a bit.

On the subject of EBT, we got a real education this past year: the city of New York gave every school kid an EBT card during the pandemic, when classes were remote and kids were missing out on their school lunches. We got two of them for our kids, near the end of the school year in 2021. At first the ol lady was using them to buy groceries but then our kids told us that all their friends were using their cards this year to go out and eat for lunch, or to get more food after school because the lunches are often just not enough calories.

So we gave them to the kids. They've been learning all the places you can use an EBT, and it's a lot, actually

Your kids lost them in any dice games, yet?

Dude! You know I taught them better than that...

...they NEVER lose.
and as soon as you put your money down on three card monty you already lost.

At the risk of going political….this past weekend my youngest daughter had a sleepover. She wanted to have pizza. I didn’t really know when the girls were all going to arrive, so I figured it would just be easiest to buy a few “take and bake” pizzas from Papa Murphys. On the window, they had a sign indicating that they accept EBT. You can buy takeout pizza with EBT?
I worked as a checker at Safeway years ago and the rule was nothing hot (cooked) so basically anything edible that wasn’t prepared on-site.
honestly have no idea..

i just remember when i worked at a gas station - PA still had paper dollars for food stamps. they would come in and try to buy 5 packs of nickle gum to try to get 95 cent back on each dollar. they would then take the change and buy cigarettes. we put a stop to that real quick and wouldn't do it.
I had them come in and buy a single Serrano pepper 2 or 3 times in a row, get the change and come back through the line with their 40’s

It’s not prepared food.

Anything that you need to prepare is exempt from sales tax and eligible for EBT.

Papa Murphy’s is the shit fwiw.

Miss that place.
The takeout frozen pizza place? Did they go under? I had them once, was not impressed. If I wanted cheap shitty pizza there was always little Caesars.

I moved to a place that doesn’t have franchises.

I have no issue with LC, at the price. But I prefer Papa Murphy’s. Also haven’t had it in over ten years, so that prolly a factor in my shitty pizza nostalgia.
