Tournament Thread - B1G Tournament

I can’t say anything bc I didn’t watch most of the game and I do whine about officiating when it is lopsided.

Illinois is a tough team, this is going to be Ohio St’s toughest challenge, if they want to win they gotta keep up the great defense, not commit slopy, stupid TO’s especially late in the game, keep moving the ball and hopefully Liddell steps up—he is going against another stud big man.

Very literally is. Hence the foul. One of the only sports where you consistently and routinely break the rules to try and gain an advantage. In football you’re allowed to decline the penalty or have clock runoffs to prevent this very thing

So you don't understand basketball. No wonder you don't like the game. It's not against the rules to committ fouls. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean fouling is breaking the rules.

In watching the conference tournament games, I thought there was quite a bit of sloppy play as you describe throughout all the conferences. I think when they get dead legged that happens. But, it may just be me seeing it.

Teams should get their legs back by the time the tournament starts.

A foul is not equal to breaking the rules. It's just a foul. There are smart fouls in basketball just like there are smart penalties in football

Pretty humbling watching press conferences last night. Sounds like NCAA not really planning well. Big 10 teams staying in Indy for the big dance are supposed to be in hotel rooms at all times unless for b-ball activities. So locking these young guys in their rooms for 20+ hours per day seems more like the hunger games meets March madness. What a mental grind

Guys are going to watch basketball and play 2k. I wouldn’t quite call it the Hunger Games

Mentally survival of the fittest? Not
Much b-ball on TV from tonight until Thursday noon. Some players certainly were not very happy about it but they also said they are glad to have the opportunity. Can only play so many video games until you need to at least get outside. Dam

I think Illinois is so focused right now that they only want to play. Those games with Ayo out showed them the intensity they needed and the haven't let down.

I like OSU's style of ball but Illinois will not be denied.

Ever since the physical beat down in Lansing they been playing pissed.

Pretty amazing what a lot of these teams have had to go through this year. Pretty sure not giving these 19-21 years olds no access to college chicks has to be comedy gold

It's not ideal but it's not nearly as challenging as you're making it out to be. They'll be watching film, going to practice, having some video game time and time to watch sports on TV. Trust me, these guys have had more challenging moments in their lives.

Ohio State's gonna have their hands full this afternoon. Illinois has been playing great lately. Won 13 of 14 and 6 in a row. Don't see the Buckeyes pulling off the upset.

These are 19-21 year olds locked in a room for 20 hours. God knows the last time they've seen a college chick. Lol like I said some were not thrilled but at least they can play ball.

The michigan game was well officiated overall.

Poor little fucking Gen Z'ers. Such a hardship. That generation LITERALLY lays around on their phones for 10 hrs a day. They don't go out and they don't date.

who cares

these players were put on this planet to entertain me

and by god, they're going to do it whether they like it or NOT

Didn’t need to start off ice cold. Can’t hit any of these wide open looks

Ohio State can't buy a shot right now. Missing open looks.

OSU in the bonus already. But they have to start making shots. 1 FG made. And a missed 1 and 1.
