lol i remember telling a tosu fan that this kid was overrated.. and i got the "because he isn't going to UT" responses.. Then he flipped to aggy..

he was a tweener.. he would troll Princely Umalamamaman (lol) about being a 4i guy.. but he's getting drafted in April.. while Tunmise is looking to find a better fit still..

When he decommitted he said he didn't need player development because he can just watch Bosa/Young highlight tapes. Lmao. That seems to be working out.

remember actual coaches telling him he needed to bulk up to play on the inside because he wasn't fast enough to be at End lol..

Yeah he had promise but didn't develop. Looking at our track record of DL into the NFL, the issue is the player.
 
can my fellow bucknuts amigos tell me the skinny on Hero Kanu? He was in Austin this past weekend.. we need some DT rotational guys.. he a good fit?

He was one of our main rotation guys last season and did an ok job, IIRC. This year, he got passed on that chart and barely saw the field. I would have assumed he would have gotten a lot more PT next season in rotation with all Ohio State is losing on the line so I'm wondering if he is looking for somewhere he can be a starter.

we got two DTs from the portal earlier, but I think they are more like NTs.. We really only have a true sophomore in Alex January right now for DT. We have a really promising incoming class, all who have EE and are on campus now. But if that's what he's looking for.. the starting role, no better place than in Austin.

Bo Davis, while a really good developer, was not good evaluating talent in his time here. January (legacy btw) and Hills (Redshirt Fr) are the only two DTs that committed under him left in the program. Everyone else is gone and haven't really made any waves wherever they have ended up as of yet.

They players who won awards under Bo, were all previously brought in by Oscar Giles under Tom Herman.]

Hope if Hero comes to Austin, he's ready to see a lot of action

I could possibly see him following Knowles since I think PSU is losing some depth, but he's a solid player. He's not a game wrecker but he can be a terrific depth piece.

Honestly I don't think anyone is following Knowles, he's not one of those coaches that players latch on to.

Yeah you might be right. We certainly aren't losing any big names. With Kanu, I figured scheme fit and familiarity could help but that's total speculation. He might not even have PSU on his radar.
