Transfer Portal

Yea for a QB like Ewers who in this draft will likely be the #3 or #4 QB taken going to the draft is the much better option. I don't think there's much of any chance that he's playing his way into the 1st round, he really could only play his way deeper down the draft board.
his shoulder will be healed and whatever injury he suffered to go along with the shoulder will be too.. throw on a tee and some shorts..he's gonna wow someone because he will hit all the throws. Scouts/GMs are suckers for it.. last year at the pro day, McDaniel? (HC for the dolphins) was telling people that he didn't see how he wasn't a 1st rd QB when seeing him sling it for Worthy and AD Mitchell in Austin.

Not saying he's going to be drafted day 1, but i can see where he goes day 2

3rd round is probably realistic.

What's going to kill Ewers is he will probably run like a 5.5 and he has a weak arm no real deep ball threat.

he's going to kill it with the deep throws, he did it last year at the Texas Pro Day when he was throwing balls to AD, Worthy, Sanders.

the knock on him is staying healthy and somehow keeping his shoulders from taking big hits lol

From what I saw the biggest knock on him is taking sacks and chunking it to the other team AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIMES. JMO.

Found this on an A&M board lol

Texas with the 72nd ranked class in the portal

with 4 players all 3 stars

We’re starting to see all of Sarks down falls as a HC. You have to play recruiting and the portal in modern college football. Maybe there’s a reason he got fired from USC and Washington hint hint.
“He’s not a good HC” said a very wise man

Arm will be fine. He just can't read a defense unless it was perfectly schemed up by Sark

It's not a coincidence that only one of the eight teams to make it to the quarterfinals has a decently rated portal class right now (Oregon at 9 because of Nike money). However, I noticed something odd when looking down the rankings a bit:

OSU and Georgia have the same number of transfers, each with two 4* and four 3*. OSU has a higher avg rating, but UGA somehow has the higher rated class? Not that it matters, it was just odd.

All 4 and 3 stars are not created equal and the individual player scores come into play.

yeah i wouldn't look into portal rankings.. sometimes the best ones are the ones they retain

Looks like the Branch score is what must be skewing it. Just seemed surprising we'd have the same numbers with OSU having a higher average ranking but lower rated class. Again, it's a moot point, but I'm sure you're right.

Do not get the WR Branch hype. "He's really fast!" is it basically. 823 yards and 3 TD in 2 seasons in a pass friendly offense. 10.6 Yards Per Catch is not anything to write home about either.

Damon Wilson to Missouri. Didn’t see that coming. Figured he had a big bag at a big program lined up
