Transfer Portal

You agree the former Wisconsin player can practice at Miami for spring/fall ball and play in their 2025 games tho right?
Sure.

Just like Julian Sayin was enrolled at Alabama last January, then transferred to Ohio State when Saban retired. He played spring ball and played in a couple of games this year.

Lateral move?!
Piece to the Rembrandt jigsaw puzzle..

Portal season feels like a fail but.. no idea how this is gonna shake out TBH.

I think the NCAA has zero intention of fixing this situation. They saw their days were numbered and decided to burn the sport we love to the ground.
Pretty much this. They want to sow so much confusion and pain because in their minds people will then beg them to take back over.

They aren’t that stupid.

They are tired fighting the non-sense and just laying low until the SEC and B1G decide to hire a college football commissioner and take the NCAA basketball tournament from them. Once that happens the doors shut regardless because there won’t be any revenue. The NCAA is living one basketball season to the next.

I wonder if he goes to Tech.. he was committed to them before his stock started to rise, eventually flipping to tosu

Now that championship game is concluded the ND players are starting to announce their portal moves. So far: OL Sam Pendleton, WR Dieon Colzie, Jayden Thomas. Of those two Thomas was the only meaningful contributor. Pendleton on the OL was a backup who lacks size and got pushed around a lot in any meaningful appearances. He’d been passed by younger guys.

I’m not sure why they would pay Knowles a shit ton when: 1. They have a defensive-minded HC 2. Defense wasn’t the clear issue last year

Unless Knowles is the shoe-in to become the HC, the move makes little sense especially since Knowles is a DC, not a HC. I doubt he wants to make that move to HC at this point in his career

I don't really get it either. It would be 2 of the same guys. If Knowles wants to be the HC and BV the DC I'm also good with that lol.

he wants to be closer to his fiance who is staying in oklahoma for her sons. I don't think he's tied to BV, have a feeling that he will be tied to ou. Joe C the AD is probably the one who has been talking to Knowles directly.

they are trying everything they can to salvage BV lol

Hate to say it but OU's looking at eeking out bowl eligibility again in 2025 with that schedule. BV's a dead man walking and it's a shame because the fans do like the guy on a personal basis. This may be the SEC but the quality of the football program is not acceptable in Norman. It's going to take at least 8-4 to save Venables' job or he will be loading a U-Haul van. That will mean going 5-3 in the SEC. OU definitely has problems but Castiglione is smart. He'll do the right thing(s) no matter the immediate costs.
