yep. and certain schools are going to continue to increase spending. I know NCSU promised Will Wade a certain number of NIL dollars and rumor has it they have already surpassed that number.
I guess it is much easier to come up with money for a smaller number of players in hoops than football.

Is this true? Nucking futs!

$10 million club

Yep, its true. All those schools have 10+. The average funding for any competitive basketball school is around 7 mil. If you don't have that, you're underfunded. I'm not talking just major conference schools having that money either. Teams like VCU have 7 mil. If you went down the list of every big conference and then including the traditional non-power conference teams that have good basketball teams (places like UConn, Marquette, St Johns, VCU), there's like 30 schools with budgets 7 mil and higher. All the elite teams are around 10 mil. Starting caliber players on these teams are earning 1 mil minimum. Stars are getting 3 to 4 mil.

So if you don't have funding, you're either really gonna have to moneyball your team or you're just not going to be able to compete.

Sounds like wealthy alumni from some schools willingly fork over unlimited cash. Whatever you need.

Some others, not so much.

One would think schools like Stanford, Harvard, etc have many wealthy alumni. But I don't see them among the leaders. I guess those think along the lines of the anti SEC mentality. "It just doesn't mean much."

Horizon PotY Alvaro Folgueiras to Iowa

Stirtz,
Manyawu
Banks
Howard
Combs
Hausen ( KSrare )
Koch
Folgyeiras ( Robert Morris )

Basically Drakes starting lineup with a top 70 national recruit, a knockdown 3 pt shooter and a quality C to boot

Not bad

Couple more additions and we will be looking solid

The problem is, so is everyone else in the Big 10

The movement of the transfer portal is insane. It's just gotten worse.

St Johns picked up a key guard and lose one at the same time.

It's like trying to manage Walmart employees.

Seriously...
