Since I know everyone was waiting with baited breath to find out what an "unsuspecting omnivore" thought of my fake biscuits and gravy ...

I was told ... hahahahahahaha ... (this is close to verbatim) "it's not bad, it just doesn't taste very sausage-y - almost like you didn't know to use the rendered fat for the roux and never put the crumbled sausage back in to cook with the gravy, but you're from Kentucky, so I know you know how to do that. What happened?"

When I told him, he got the strangest look on his face, then said something like, "well, in that case, it's pretty good." Then he started laughing because he said he was feeling kind of uncomfortable a vegetarian would make something with meat in it for him.
