The only thing I did different, was throw some towels at the base of the doors.

Heater is set at 67, like always. (But ya it ran it's ass off last night and most of today)

Cars started up ok...kinda groaned a bit.

I shoveled the fucking driveway in full snowmobile gear. LOL. Ski goggles and everything.:laugh:

Highest the standing temp today was -18. Standing temp right now is -20. Windchill currently is -38

School was cancelled today. It should've been yesterday. Close to the same temp, but whiteout conditions with crazy drifts everywhere. Today was much safer driving conditions than yesterday, tho all East/West side roads are "closed" still, and will be til Monday prolly. Not a cloud in the sky today, and most of the loose now has blown away, so not near as shitty today, even with the colder ambient temps. I still had to gear up like I was snowmobiling to a remote cave to camp. lulz

Man, I miss the mountains. But that is one thing, maybe the only thing, that I don't miss...the super windy super cold snow event.
Here in Southlake, if the streets get a quarter inch of frozen precipitation, the entire metroplex stays home or dies on the road. Nobody can drive for shit. I asked a guy at work if he's ever put chains on his tires and he looked at me like I was speaking Mandarin.
