The tunnel people been around for a long time. Think about what @beardown07 would be like if he missed a flight out of vegas after spending his last dime on drugs, and then lived in storm drains.
 
We live in a desert, and used to get serious flash flooding valley wide. 30 or so years ago they started building massive retention basins and storm drains that run across the entire valley to Lake Mead. these tunnel systems connect underground, and above ground washes, basically all the way across the valley. Some are continuous for miles. Bunches of unhoused fuckers die every time it rains cuz dey cant wake up from their heroin/fentanyl induced comas.

Like a whole smelly shit society down there

I had no fuggin idea. Dudes on our security team told me about it today. Mentioned the mass deaths because of the flooding. Crazy shit.

Yeah, the poor fire fighters gotta peel them fuckers off the grates at various locations where debris is supposed to get caught, so it doesnt clog up down "stream". There has been multiple people on the run from the law, that go into the tunnels, and will just pop up at various locations around town, and they use the tunnels to get around.

If I get bored I can make some marks on a map where they start on one side of the valley, pop up a few times above ground, and go back under ground for 20 to 30 miles across this bowl
