


It’s all part of the gig. I’ve had to cancel a vacation while my wife and kids were already there because a work thing came up. On the plus side, they paid for an additional two weeks plus first class, last minute airfare right afterward. It’s a seriously double-edged sword. It’s a shit job, but it’s a shit job that pays really, really well.I get that totally. We had to work/bill at 110% plus hours weekly/yearly to clients even though we were eligible for 4 week's vacation, 8 federal holidays and 5 optional holidays per year. Not doable and the vacation hours did not transfer over nor were compensible if not used. Had to ditch PTO to meet goals. FUBAR.
